I bought an aftermarket rest from another site and was annoyed at the poor quality so I came to buy a first party rest, which annoyingly feels cheaper than the other cheaper one I bought and it also isn't perfectly flat! This means whilst I am typing, I'm having my rest rock slightly, which is maddening. How can a non-straight rest even leave the factory? Not enough quality assurance.

Unfortunately the "Keychron" label had been punched too far into my pam rest on one side, leading to a raw wooden edge which is uncomfortable. Otherwise it is as expected and certainly has made for a better typing experience.

I wasn't expecting such a high quality peace of wood, really impressed, it's the perfect shape (...obviously but i've had disappointments with other, cheaper, keyboard/palm rests), it adds to the experience of using the keyboard :-)
The only thing i will say, it took ages to arrive, but that's to be expected for China imports to the UK.

The Q6 with the Q6 wooden wrist rest, (brought separately), is an absolute dream to use. The keyboard with brown Gateron switches really does look and feel premium.
I have already changed the keycaps to the Carbon set. I found the legends were a bit too small on the original. But that is what this keyboard is all about. You can swap keycaps plus switches as and when you please.
I mention the wrist rest in this appraisal because of the keyboard’s high profile. It may be of concern to some. The wrist rest is super, being made from wood it just has a natural and very pleasant cooling non sticky effect on your skin. If I were Keychron I would certainly include this with the Q6 as a package. The wrist rest is so unique, it’s something to boast about.
I would certainly recommend this keyboard to those want productivity first and pleasure gaming later.
Truly is a dream to use and reassuring to know you won’t need to shop for another keyboard should you get tired of the keycaps or switches.
